Drexel Students Guide to Getting Your Dorm Ready for Passover & Celebrating at Chabad!
Take a few minutes to read through. This will make your Pesach way smoother.
1) Clean your room!
First step is getting rid of your chametz. That includes any leavened food and crumbs. Think breads, pasta, cereal, snacks, beer, etc.
Give your space a real clean:
• Under and around your bed
• Drawers and closets
• Backpacks
• Car if you have one
• Even swap out your toothbrush
Pesach is about freedom. Not just physically, but freeing ourselves from the “puffed up” ego too.
You can get rid of chametz by:
• Eating it
• Giving it away
• Or putting it aside to be sold
2) Sell your chametz
Even after cleaning, you still have pots, pans, and food you do not want to throw out.
We take care of selling it for you. Just fill out this form and set it aside in a closed area.
Deadline: Wednesday, April 1st at 9:00 AM
3) Bedikas Chametz (searching)
Do a proper search Tuesday night, March 31st after 7:52 PM.
A flashlight works fine in a dorm.
If you plan to leave your dorm or house before Pesach and intend to return during the latter days of Pesach, you should clean and search for chametz before you leave
4) Final times
Last time to eat chametz: Wednesday April 1st at 10:56 AM
Burn or sell chametz by: 12:00 PM
5) Got Matzah?
Stock up for all 8 days. We have you covered too.

8) Last Days of Pesach
Join us for Holiday meals (dinners and lunches) and the Moshiach Seudah on 4/9 6:30 pm.

Text "Moshiach" to rsvp
9) Chametz After Passover
Make sure to only eat chametz after the holiday has ended. In Philly this year, that’s April 9 at 8:15 PM.
If you sold your chametz online, wait an extra hour before using it, to ensure it has been properly bought back by the Rabbi.
The Haggadah talks about four children. The Rebbe spoke about a fifth child. The one not even at the Seder.
At Drexel, our mission is simple.
No fifth child.
If you know someone who does not have plans, bring them along.
Let’s make this a powerful, meaningful, and delicious Passover together!
